A BOUQUET OF ROSES FOR MBPJ STAFF & COUNCILLOR

People think that we only throw brickbats at civil servants.

The fact is: if praise is due, praise should be given.

About two weeks ago, a neighbour wrote to Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MBPJ) about the poor drainage along Persiaran Cemara in Bandar Sri Damansara. She pitied the people who have to wait for their buses there. Whenever it rains, the water gets clogged on the road.

The complaint was also given to the Councillor in charge of the area. Mr Chan Chee Kong, who represents the residents of Sri Damansara in MBPJ council meetings, was also informed of the complaint.

MBPJ sent an engineering staff to check out the complaint. She took some pictures of the drains and the trees. In less than a week, we noticed some work done to trim the trees there. This week, the work has started on the drains.

Hopefully, when it rains, this section of the road will not be flooded again.

Bravo and good job! Thanks to MBPJ and Councillor Chan! (WINK* WINK* We are hoping to get a traffic light at the junction of Persiaran Tago and Persiaran Industri Sri Damansara).
