During the Manek Urai by-election, I read in the news that our Deputy Prime Minister said, "Elect us, and we will build the bridge for Manek Urai."
I nearly vomitted when I read such an idiotic statement by one of our top politicians in this country. My answer was: "If there is a need, Mr Muhyiddin, then build the villagers a bridge, for goodness sake! If there is no need, why build it in the first place. After all, it is the people's money that you are using to fish for votes."
It doesn't surprise me that such hollow thinking politics is pervasive throughout the 53 years this nation has been ruled by the BN.
Every now and then, you see a signboard that reads, "Another project under the BN Government." This appears to be the modus operandi of the BN Government, thinking that Malaysians will buy into the idea that only BN can bring development to a constituency.
My neighbour told me that in Negeri Sembilan, her relatives are complaining that roads leading to some Umno areas are resurfaced even though the condition was still alright, whereas their own roads have not been resurfaced for more than 10 years.
Let me relate to you a story. A few years ago, a senior official at the Kuala Lumpur City Hall told me that the City Hall was trying to topple the Kepong Member of Parliament, Dr Tan Seng Giaw. She, however, conceded that the City Hall failed to topple Dr Tan. She realised that Dr Tan has a lot of supporters in his constituency.
On another occasion, a few journalist friends of mine told me that because Kepong is under the DAP, it is therefore, being neglected for so long.
Now, you think about it. This is the same pervasive approach which the BN thinks is such a good strategy to win elections. To me, it is a hollow brain thinking. If the BN's strategy has been so powerful, why is it that Kepong has continued to be under the DAP for so many years?
In the 2008 General Election, nine other parliamentary constituencies in the Federal Territory, fell into the hands of Pakatan MPs. Why?
When I made a comparison between Kepong under the DAP and Selayang previously under MCA, I can only make one CONCLUSION that our civil servants are the ones to blame for the poor public amenities that you don't get to enjoy all because a lot of the money has been pumped into a former prime minister's mega this and mega that projects. Every time your tyre hits the pothole, or you have to drive through a flash floor, or your street is dark, remember, this nation has been under the BN for 53 years, and nothing has improved! Teluk Kemang is under the BN, and the beach is so neglected and dirty that when my neighbour took her daughter and nieces for a picnic, they had to pick up the rubbish first!

It is time for CHANGE! It's time for a totally new set of people at all three tiers of the administration - the Federal, the State and the Local Government.
Why am I so fed up? You know the answers yourself!
