Can we blame the police? I don't think so.
Another report police against Nurul Izzah
Former PKR Youth vice-chief Muhammad Zahid Md Arip today lodged a police report against Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar for allegedly tarnishing the country's image and name during an interview with an Indonesian newspaper Kompas recently.
He said Nurul Izzah had given false information on the New Economic Policy and underestimated the capability of the Malaysian submarines.
"She said our submarines could not dive and the weapons purchased were old.
"This is indeed an insult to the Royal Malaysian Navy and is like an invitation for other parties to launch attacks on our country," he told reporters after lodging the report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
Meanwhile, at the same police headquarters, MCA and MIC Youth movements also lodged a report against the Malay Consultative Council (MPM) for urging the government to abolish vernacular schools as reported in a news portal.
"We want the police to probe into the case because it has racist elements and can affect the education system in the country," MCA Youth executive committee member Chong Sin Woon said.
MIC Youth secretary C Shivarrajah said the education system in the country should not be politicised and questioned as the freedom to open schools was clearly stated in the Federal Constitution.
